This procedure is done to have a bigger outlook of the legs. The implants are placed either to the inner or outer parts of the legs. Mostly inner part is preferred to have a thicker leg. The procedure also fixes the bowed leg situation which is a common complaint of patients.
Operation takes about 2 hours under general anesthesia. Insertion and the quality of the implants are the key issue here to prevent future replacement of the implants. The exact location of the implants shall be chosen by the surgeon and the patient together. There is always a discomfort afer the surgery which passes away within several days of walking exercises.
