The ear is an aesthetic and functionally important organ at the same time. There can be many different deformities in the ear, including no development after the birth. The most common form of distortion is the scoop ear. In this situation the angle with the skull of the ear has increased. Together, absence of curves in the ear may also be present.

The best time to correct the this ear problem on chidlren is before the start of the first grade of the school so the child doesnt face any pshyological problems in the school.

Other than this, the surgery can be done on any age.

It is done under general anesthesia and lasts about 1-2 hours

The operation is performed from behind the ear and permanent sutures are thrown from the inside and the ear is directed to the right angle.  The sutures will be hidden.

Patient can return home on the same day of the operation. The ear remains bandaged for 2 to 3 days. Post-operative edema resolves within two weeks. It takes a few months to get the last shape of the ear but it does not create an image that can disturb you during this time.
